Rick Needham – CEO
Mr. Needham is the CEO of Domain Communities. He began his career as a real estate attorney at Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth in Newport Beach, California, where he rose to partner and spent nearly 15 years representing owners, developers and investors of multifamily and other real estate product types. During his tenure at Stradling, Mr. Needham met J.D. Golden, founder and Chairman of Domain Communities, and represented Mr. Golden and his affiliated companies.
Respected for his business acumen and deal making skills, a client invited Mr. Needham to partner with him in developing medical office buildings. Mr. Needham joined Triad Partners in Irvine, California, in 2004, where he oversaw the underwriting, due diligence, debt and equity structuring, design, entitlement, construction, financing, marketing, leasing, property management and sale of over 700,000 square feet of medical buildings.
After 7 years as a real estate developer and principal with Triad Partners, Mr. Needham returned to practicing law at the international law firm, Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton, in Costa Mesa, California. He quickly reunited with J.D. Golden, once again representing Domain Communities on its acquisition, disposition and financing of multifamily assets. After 3 years of legal representation, Mr. Needham joined Domain Communities as CEO. Mr. Needham now oversees all aspects of Domain Communities' business, including overseeing operations, legal and all multifamily investments over their full life cycle (due diligence, underwriting, acquisition, financing, renovation, asset management and disposition).
